We have two identical Sunday morning worship services each week. You can choose from 8:30am or 11:00am. Each service lasts for a little over an hour. For those with children in Kindergarden-3rd grade, we offer Children’s Church just before the main message.
We start our worship services with a full band leading Spirit-filled contemporary music. During that time, we pause for communion – something we do every Sunday. You can pick up communion elements at any church door entry on the way in. On any given Sunday you might see a baptism or baby dedication during this time as well. After prayer and some announcements, you’ll hear a thirty-minute relevant message from the Bible that will impact your life.
Immediately following the worship service, there is an opportunity to connect with our Prayer Team.
Our hope is that during each worship service you find the freedom to worship God, encounter Jesus, and experience the comfort and power of the Holy Spirit.
The Harbor Church is a non-denominational church focused on Spirit-filled worship, relevant biblical teaching, sharing the gospel of Jesus, making disciples, and enjoying community.
Our church has been and continues to focus on sharing the good news of Jesus in our local communities and around the world. We’re presently leaning into revival and seeing many people come to faith and be baptized. As a result, our church is growing in grace, knowledge, attendance, and impact. Come join us in what God is doing at The Harbor Church!
Our church movement began over one hundred and thirty years ago (c.a. 1889) as an outreach to children playing in a field next to a local train station. In just a few years, that work bore fruit, and a small church was born and started to grow. Through following years and decades, God’s favor has been upon the church as it has faithfully proclaimed and lived the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What we believe about Jesus, the Bible, and the Church
We believe that there is one Almighty, Holy, and loving God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As our Heavenly Father, God has revealed himself both through his creation and his Word so that we might come to know, enjoy, and glorify him forever.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. In love, he willingly came down from heaven, lived a perfect life on earth, was crucified on a cross, died, was buried, and then rose to new life. By the blood of his sacrifice on the cross, all those who repent of their sins and confess the name of Jesus will be given eternal life. As a church, we longingly await the return of Jesus!
We believe that the Holy Spirit is not an impersonal force or abstract power, but rather the third God-person of the eternal, omniscient, and holy Trinity alongside God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit indwells, comforts, convicts, counsels, teaches, reminds, declares to, and empowers believers as he to glorifies Jesus.
We believe that sin, the prideful breaking of God’s will and commands, is universal and that each man is guilty of sin and falls short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God, robs us of peace and joy, and ultimately leads to death and judgment.
We believe that salvation is that act of God in which a man’s sins are forgiven, his relationship with God is restored, he is sealed with the Holy Spirit, adopted into God’s family as a son or daughter of God, and he is granted the gift of eternal life. To receive salvation, one must repent of sin and believe by faith in the name of Jesus.
We believe that baptism is an obedient step of faith for all those who have repented of their sins and come to faith in Jesus. Baptism by immersion is a symbolic expression of a believer uniting in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Since baptism is a commandment, we encourage all believers in Jesus to be baptized.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth that exists to glorify God. The local church is a community of believers that regularly gathers to worship, pray, take communion, and hear the Word of God. The church is the place where you can be encouraged in your faith as well as provide opportunities for you to use your God-given passion and spiritual gifts.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, revealed, and inerrant Word of God and contains all that man needs to know to find salvation in Jesus and be equipped to lead a life pleasing to God. We encourage everyone to read and study the Bible as well as to obey its commandments and live by its principles.
